Cold day and cold water. Fished the upper section of the fly area. Did not see many fish but they are there. Many up against the bank and mixed in with suckers. Caught a few on sucker spawn but the majority were on a white streamer. Water was ice cold and my legs felt numb after standing in it for a few hours. All fish were brook trout , nice color on the bronze side so maybe that is why they were hard to see against the sandy brown bottom. They are definitely using the down trees as cover and getting my fly within the tangle branches was a challenge. I think the cover is a good thing although it wouldn't be a bad Idea to open up the center section of the trees to allow better float stocking. Not sure how this section can be stocked with all the down trees.
