Well folks the steelhead fishing is on. We have had anglers staying here that are limiting out. The hot spot seems to be around legion hole. Another angler has been fishing all along Walnut with a lot of success. There was reportedly a 15 + pounder landed at the mouth of Twelve Mile Creek. Another hot spot has been Twenty Mile Creek. Egg skein and shiners have been working. Many anglers staying with us have been using bright colors, fly-fishermen have been having success with sucker spawn and wooly buggers. When you could get on the lake there was some nice perch fishing in about 60 FOW. Larger mouth bass are hitting in the Presque Isle Bay area. It is shaping up to be a good fall run, so keep the bait flying and the fish frying.
