Lower Lehigh River Report |

CCAS was out on the water yesterday floating the lower river below bowmanstown. Water temp measured 68.4 degrees at the ramp. Primarily fished streamers and boated a nice selection of smallmouth, rock bass, a small musky and one fine rainbow trout. Spotted a few rising fish but not enough to get excited about. No real hatching bugs either.

It was about 20"..
Becker, your right - the Cornuta can work up there, but is usually a cloudy morning occurence. We were there on a hot, sunny afternoon so no doubt had something to do with our lack of bugs.. It's still all good though, we learned a few things - good R&D trip...

Never caught a musky out of the Lehigh. Though I have been with people who have.
BWOs were out in force this past saturday. Water temps were about the same, but air temps were a bit cooler I am sure. Quite a few rising fish all the way from Btown on downstream.

Jake, Pete was the one that caught it so I just want to be clear b/c I'm sure he'll be on here wanting the credit!...;) I had a big blow up too on streamer - not sure what it was but it was 20"+...

That is true. I didn't claim to catch it though! That motto is for the guy that catches it, says "I measured it against my rod" and then releases it and says it was 23.25"... Come on dude...:)
