Well it rained again this morning, although right now at 10:05 am Friday, 29, 2006 it is sunny. But there are fish being caught and the rain is moving them in further. A guest staying with us caught a nice one on Wednesday. He said it was the biggest one he has ever caught up here. It would not fit crosswise in our refrigerator. He was fishing Walnut Creek where a 13 lb, 14 oz one was taken. It is not supposed to rain any more today and not rain again until maybe tomorrow afternoon. So the creeks may settle down a little and allow for some good fishing. Fish are being reported in all the creeks with the usual baits working. Minnows, egg sacks, and egg skein. Perch and walleye are still being caught but the weather has really limited getting out on a boat. Just remember to be safe if you venture back out there and that the best most active perch fishing is not on the bottom. Keep that bait flying and the fish frying.
