Fished Bald Eagle yesterday in the afternoon. Found a few fish rising and managed to land two with a BWO and one on a Black Ant. Wind and sun came in and put them down. Below is a photo of a 16 inch brown that took the ant. Water temp was 62 degrees.

Beautiful brown and nice report Skyblue!!! I have yet to fish Bald Eagle, but I've heard really nice things about it. I know that Junction pool near Milesburg of Bald Eagle and Spring Creek always has looked inviting, but I've never fished it and I am not sure if that land is posted around that area.

I like the stream because it does not see the pressure like Spring and Fishing in that area. Don't get me wrong I fish Spring and Big Fishing creek but Bald Eagle has some nice sized fish in it willing to take a dry fly. Also the last two times I fished there was not another person in site. That is worth something also.

I will add to the pressure next time I'm up there, thanks to this report. I'll probably bring friends.

Beautiful fish.

Kinda unrelated, but I'm curious. When the water is an appropriate temperature, can you catch trout as far down as Mill Hall/Lock Haven in Big Fishing Creek?

Don't think temps are ever much of an issue on BFC, even on the lower end. There is some good water down that way also.

I've heard of nice browns being taken just below the dam.
