From what I can tell the differences are in the color as the one at Cabelas seems to be a light tan color and also the waist straps on the one at cabelas seems to have small zippered pockets where as mine has loops and straps on the waist straps that hold Hemostats or other like tools or floatant bottles and tippet holders on the outside of the pack instead of keeping them inside one of the zippered pockets.

No, these are not the convertable.
These are the older style with the Velcro top pocket and the leg stitching on the side as opposed to ontop the knee.

Lost the rod tip to my martin mowhawk river fly rod and reel combo. Still usin the reel on the eagle claw 6.6 cheapo I picked up so not a total loss. Would like to replace the tip and have a slightly larger rod as well though.
