stripers in the paupack

How would i go about fly fishing for stripers at the pack? I have a 7 wt rod and a boat so i was thinking pretty much boat around till i see the balls of baitfish on the surface then cast a streamer of some type and strip it in through the baitfish. Is that pretty much the idea? Or am i missing something? Also any suggestions for patterns that work well on stripers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do not know much about this, but I would suggest casting just outside the ball of bait fish and strip.

Gizzard shad or alfwive pattern 2-4" long should do. Get it down and to the side of the bait ball. strip-strip-strip 6" -12" fast.
