Thanks Tom - good stuff. The overall picture does reflect the views of many "J" regulars - that is to say that the upper river is better for numbers whereas the lower river is better for big fish. Overall, however, the SMB population is good, esp when compared to the last decade when populations in the lower river have had some problems. I'm pleased to see that credit is given for C&R regulations possibly being of value in protecting the bigger fish.

The flows on the upper J were high early this year so we did not wade it, but since then the bass fishing has been excellent. It is great to know that it is not just anecdotal evidence.
