So I had plans to hit my local trout creek for a few hours on tuesday 11/13, but rain monday night made it high and murky, so I thought lets try the favorite pond, maybe I'll get a bluegill or 2...

Well i killed them! less then 2 hours at least 12 large bluegill and 3 largemouth. when i pulled up it started to sleet! I thought this is crazy! The wind was blowing so I had to use my 8 wt used a olive wb and a #12 prince as a dropper. Would cast out into as deep as water as I could reach let everything sink for 10-15 seconds then do a very slow retreive just bumping it along and hits just kept coming. I had 2 bluegill double headers!

Lots of fun may try again today if I can get out.

So don't give up on the warm water species yet!
