The first annual Sandy Hook Jam was a complete success stripers and shad were caught by all with one blue in the mix . The weather was perfect for this time of year we couldn't of asked for a better day on the water . I'm not going to get into details i'm going to let all the photos do the talking.

nice pics fred! i posted mine in the original thread. didn't see the bluefish today...pretty cool. haha thanks for the basket as well.

Awesome day at Sandy hook! Timing and conditions were perfect, and I don't think anyone could keep count of fish that were caught. Big thanks to Fred for organizing and getting me onto my first striper.

I was the last person on the beach around 6:30 and everyone had caught a striper already. Baitfish were all around until high tide at 8 when the action slowed. But within an hour or so, the bite was back on and didn't stop until we left. Stripers and big shad were cooperating, and we suspected some blues were nearby as a couple flies were bitten clean off. As always, its great to meet other fellow members. Until next time!

great pics! I'm gonna have to get some saltwater on my equipment one of these days!

I forgot to add that a bunch of guys from Delco Manning TU joined in on the action also and most of them this was their first time wetting a line in the salt

looks like a perfect day for up there. great pic's nice to see everyone got into fish..

Thanks a lot Frederick, I know i had a great time and it seemed like everyone else did too.

Thxs I'm glad everyone had a blast I'm thinking about doing it again next year. Hopefully some of you guys have the bug now and start going out on your own. As you seen yesterday the spin guys don't always get the most fish

What a douche in the boat. Really?!?!?

I missed Sandy Hook Jam and you guys.
I think I still have some salt in my blood.

Fishing the Steelhead 3 Jam for me was great but very short.

Fred,
Wicked good report, I cant get down to the jetties till i return from Deer Camp, wanted to get to do this now i am bummed, i like that Colton/stripper basket, mines mesh always wanted one of those orvis ones.
Maybe if its mild in December get a few guys an do it again?
Saltwater fishing really tightens up your casting, and also really hurts my Trout fising...kinda hard to get ezcited when ya dont get that pull or tug the way big fish do.

looks like a great time guys.

what sizes of flies and types were you successful on? i usually use Clouser Minnows #1, #2, #1,#2 thats all i carry an some spools of Seaguar flouro 30,20,15,12 pound.I long pair of plierfs blues can really put a damper on yer day if ya get careless an get chomped.
