Woolly Bugger Help

Can anyone help?ok here's the question.what is the proper way to use a Woolly Bugger.do you cast up stream and let it flow down then pull it in. or cast straight across or down stream.

The beauty of a Woolly Bugger is that you can do just about anything you want with it. Its effective dead drifted, stripped across the current, stripped down current and sometimes stripped up current. Quick even strokes are usually great.
