I rocked a wiki on the new guy starting trouble already:

"She Bop" was the third commercially released solo single by American singer Cyndi Lauper.
The song was controversial, owing to lyrics that addressed m*sterb*tion. Part of the lyrics, "They say I better stop - or I'll go blind”

So, I guess he's just "jerking" us around....

lol I was thinking more along the line of Hanson and their one hit wonder UMMMMM BOP.

I have a very good feeling that Shebop may be a member of the FBI, Fly rod warranty division. I'm clamming up before I have the feds knocking at my door.

How and why do nutsacks like that get on here in the first place?

Nope. Just tired of paying more for rods because people abuse those warranties. It's like a lottery to reward stupidity.

You want a warranty? Man up and buy a new rod. You want more rod for less money? Buy used and accept the risk that the company may not replace it when you slam the tip in your car door.

ugg I was considering a Redington CT for $130 but I would prefer a fast action rod. Any suggestions for under $150???

Under 150??? Go to Cabelas and try the LST or L-Tech models. Both should be on sale for less than 150. You can always spend 6 months prowling ebay. You'll find one on there eventually.

I had an 8' 4wt LST for awhile, its listed as a "moderate fast," but I didn't care for it. I seem to gravitate to the slower side of moderate.

TFO's are pretty fast. I have an 8wt and love it. Mine's the TICR though.

Never fished a Scierra, but the price is nice.

Good call on the Scierra. I fished the Salmon River with a guy that got one from Cableas. For the price, great rod. Just have to be aware that warranty or customer service may not be as good on one of the smaller companies but Cableas stands behind their stuff.

That Echo rod also looks good. Out of stock last time I was there though.

I was told flat out that Hamburg doesn't have the Echo rods in the store, online only.

ALSO.... if you go into the store and the rods are marked $195 but they are on the website or in the bargain cave for $115, just print out that page and they'll honor it.

Their watershed reel (made in USA and is really a Ross Rhythm), was new for $199. I saw it on the site for $119 or $129. Printed it out and they honored the price. Cabelas is hard to beat for customer service and backing up product.

Not so much anymore, they've seriously changed their once ironclad return policy.

Its no longer lifetime, its finite. 3 months, I think? Maybe 6? Shorter for speciality items (ie, optics).

LL Bean maintains life time satisfaction, though. A "walk in, hand it in, walk out credit or new." That's service.

What's the Bean got, actually? I'm VERY happy with my Orion 2 rod.

If I'm not mistaken, the rod warranty is 25 yrs. Check their site. I've broken 2 LST's and they replaced them on the spot. I've returned a PT+ after taking it fishing.... not as advertised and the guy sold me a line that was way too much for the rod. Returned 4 months later and gave me 80% credit. Pretty good in my eyes.
