That is only true for powered boats. Not drift boats because drift boats loose little value. I had a offshore boat. I put almost $50K into it fished with it for 10 years and then sold it for $16K. It was alot of work! My drift boat in comparision I bought and sold for what I paid for it!

"BTW...
I was always told that the best time of a boat owners life is when he buys a boat an when he sells the boat ...........lmao"

Might be the case for some guys but I've never second guessed myself for the $5200 I paid for the boat and freight. I've probably used it at least 100 times since 1999 and have enjoyed every minute of it and look forward to another 100 floats.

I take good care of my boat and power wash it after every few floats. I've had guys offer to give me almost as much as I paid for it twelve years ago.

$495 for delivery to the east coast (some restrictions, ask salesman for details - offer ends 11/30/2011)!

Just an update on the shipping costs: I spoke with Hyde yesterday, and shipping to Philadelphia will cost no more than $900. Basically, the way they are running it now is that you pay their cost on shipping, capped at $900. That's a pretty good deal to get from Idaho Falls to here. I drive a Subaru Outback, and even at 28 mpg, I'm still looking at close to $700 in gas / tolls, and I know I won't be getting 28 on the way back...

Capped at $900, but what Hyde does is just increse the cost of their boat. I know when I tried dealing with them they were offering little incentives.10% of retail for a demo boat or last years model is not a good deal. I went with clack and they shipped mine to Michigan for basically nothing. I'm picking mine up in 3 weeks!

That's good feedback. I didn't get that far in my discussions, yet. I know Clacka has distributors in Michigan and Maine. Smart move going that way. Best of luck with the new boat! What model did you get from Clacka?
