Maxxon 14 foot 2 person Cataraft Pontoon Fishing Package $1500 (Exton, PA)

14 foot x 21.5 inch diameter Maxxon Cataraft tubes are built with heavy duty 2200 denier polyester base fabric and have two air chambers per tube. The long waterline of Maxxon tubes provide higher buoyancy than equivalent length tubes from other brands, and the Maxxon pontoons seem to go faster in the flat-water sections of rivers. Maxxon uses a 3300 denier chafe patch on the top and bottom of their tubes see black material in pictures, comes with four heavy duty D-rings on each side of each tube, molded urethane end cones for protection against large river rocks. These tubes have been used only twice on the upper Delaware river and are in excellent condition. Package comes with 2 person powder coated welded aircraft aluminum fishing frame, a sliding front stand-up deck, two padded seats, a seat riser, full size HD oar locks, anchor, custom outdoor carpeted 2-pc removable deck, and pair of oars.

frame breaks down pretty small and the tubes can be deflated and rolled up...

Whole package can fit into the back of a mid size SUV (4Runner) if its taken down.

I store the pontoons 2/3 inflated in the basement and the frame hangs in the garage.

Chrome I assume the trailer does not come with the pontoon.

Correct - the small trailer pictured above is not included.
You'd want a longer trailer anyway. This one above works well 10 foot boats. I'd suggest looking for an older bunk trailer or jet ski trailer.

something like a Karavan KBE-1250-46 bunk trailer (Cableas has them or local dealers for approx $650.
Works very well as a pontoon, raft or small drift boat trailer and won't break the bank.

This boat has enough capacity to carry a rower and two anglers and will support the addition of a rear frame module

I'm interested Chromefinder. What is the approximate weight of this boat assembled?

I actually never weighed it

I can tell you I can launch it and load it on my trailer solo without any issues.

I know the pontoons weigh about 72 lbs. without the frame.

The frame modules are alum and are very light, I can pick then up and hold them over my head easily.

The custom 2pc removable deck I made is managable by one person as well

The pictured frame if from a NFO/Scadden McKenzie drifter, tubes are Maxxon 14 footers, oars in pics are Cataract SGG oars BUT they are not included, instead this package comes with a pair of Heavy Duty 7 foot 3 piece oars with removable 26'' blades, oar color is black. Carlisle Oar extenders could be purchased if you want to make these oars 12 inches longer. One pontoon has one patch over a single small 1/8 inch puncture and was repaired 100% successfully with a round 3 inch PVC patch using 2 part Stabond adhesive. I expect this repair to last the life of the boat. Any questions just ask...I'm selling this since i have other boats and no room for this one in the fleet. It has been on the water exactly two times - the Upper Delaware System at high water. Boat is located just off the PA Turnpike exit # 312 Downingtown, approx 35 miles west of Philadelphia.
