I am looking for a 7 wt rod and reel. I prefer a 4 piece rod. I am looking for something that is not to expensive but is still of good qaulity.

check ebay or bass pro , if it is for plopping your nymph in the tribs get a 29.00 rod somehwere and be done . spend the big bucks on a reel that u can use in the summer too , a 5-7 large arbor orvis works well !!!!

Sage Launch's can be found for around $200. I picked up a 9ft 7wt with a 2580 reel last week and it works great.

the a-5 comparison looks pretty good. Check out the link on their home page. Has me sold. I'm looking at that 5 piece 3 weight for a nice small stream rod.
