I'm interested in some flys. New to the game. I haven't done any fishing yet. I will be fishing in the Pohopoco Creek & the Lehigh . I
would like some wet flys-streamers-nympys-bugs etc. I'm sure you know way more about this than I do , so I'll rely on your judgement.
How do I pay you & where are you located. My number here today at work is 610-292-6137.
Home email is --soup49@comcast.net

Thank you in advance for your time & help.
BILL

Hi Jarhead,

I tie some and buy some. When I buy I like http://www.theflystop.com/ they have good prices (~ 50c/fly) and the quality is very good. I've bought from other low cost sites but the quality was not as good.

Since you're new I'll give some advice that may help.

First, find out from local fly shops/anglers what patterns are important to your local streams. Then only buy what you need for the upcoming hatches not the entire season. This allows you to return to your local shop for more patterns and advice as the season progresses. Buying from your local shop is more expensive but you also get good information. Once you find the patterns you like the most you can either start tying or order quantities online.

In addtion to matching local hatches you'll want a couple of generic/attractor patterns such as adams, woolly buggers, weenies and various terrestrials. Again, find out which attractors work the best on your streams.

With about a dozen patterns you'll be set to attack your local streams. Then if the addiction sets in you'll soon accumulate more patterns then you can fish in a season.

Good Luck!
