i just finished this one and it was a good read. Basically, Paul interviewed a bunch of long-time guides from out west and each chapter is a different guide. Most of the details are in the context of the west but there are many truths that apply in any water.

i loved the premise. if nothing else, it helped me see which kinds of guides i'd like to go out on the water with and which i wouldn't should i ever make my pilgrimage out west.

I don't think he was in that book, but our very own flybop from Montana is about as good as a guide gets in my book.

Sounds interesting. I'll check it out.

i also found this book interesting, i read it about two yrs ago , gives you an insight of what guides think of their clients

Might have to check it out.

I am sure they will say- "terrible casters" and "they always cast behind the boat".
