I just finished The Alaska Chronicles, an excellent read. Basically an honest, humorous and well written diary of an Alaskan fishing guide. He takes you through an entire season of guiding with all the great things and not so great things about being a fishing guide.
The AK Chronicles began as postings on The Drake message board and became this book. link http://www.departurepublishing.com/titles.html

Finally got it for Christmas. Finished it today. Great read & a good look at inside baseball.

It doesn't mention baseball anywhere in the description? How does baseball get incorporated?

The phrase "inside baseball" refers to a detail-oriented approach to the minutiae of a subject, which in turn requires such a specific knowledge about what is being discussed that the nuances are not understood or appreciated by outsiders.[1]
