Smallmouth Fly Fishing

I was wondering if anybody here has read Smallmouth Fly Fishing by Tim Holschlag. I am very new to fly fishing but found this book to be very informative and I had trouble putting it down. It does have some of the material from his first book Stream Smallmouth Fishing. I especially like the sections on What Makes A Good Fly!

I agree, this is an excellent book. It has been discussed on this forum in past posts and has always received glowing reviews.

Fly Fishing for Smallmouth by Bob Clouser is another good one to have. That book and the Holschlag one you mentioned are, IMO, the two best smallie books.

I consider Tim's book the bible on Fly fishing for smallies .Bob's book is a great read also and the pics on bait fish are a must have in my eyes
