Thanks Jack.

I went to the state gallery page to see if we could match it. its tough to do it with drawings/paintings of the fish to get the right color. we figure it had to be a least a bass or bass like sun fish.

caught it on the big elk creek(southern chester county), stocked on occasions with trout.

i was hitting various sizes of this fish, very strong and fun to catch with a bugger. trout seemed to have gone awol around here though.

Many of us regularly target SMBass and would be proud of that catch.

Smallmouth are the warm water trout in my opinion. I say that because they are a fly fishermans fish. Very easy to take on fly tackle and very fun to catch. They are tough little guys. I love throwing poppers for them.

Definitely a smallie. Love catching these guys, they are the Roy Jones, Jr. (10 years ago) of Pennsylvania fish; pound for pound, they fight like no other.

HAHA! Love the comparisons, especially this one Chubmaster, hilarious. Like Jones Jr., smb are awesome :)

when i landed this fish i had one just like it before, bigger and more powerful(Tyson). i decided to photograph it and send it to my brother in california, he couldn't ID it so i threw it on here for some reason i thought bass were greener but then saw that's the lmb. also thought it'd be weird to see one in these parts so i thought it could be rock bass....i figured i always had a great nack for bass in general....when i fished on regular rods and i was able to land them just about any way. also growing up in the Caribbean i learned to fish for peacock bass and not much is different!

thanks for id it and making my day!
