I bet if you put peanut butter, nutella, and marshmallow fluff on them they wouldn't be too bad...

Sounds yummy, just don't leave them in the coals too long.

I haven't seen one yet and I cover a lot of ground in many different areas for my work. I have not totally lost hope but its fading. So I switched to tying up foam beetles. The trout are starting to take them pretty hard. I think the hot weather last week has launched the terrestrial season!

I kinda got lost coming out of the FFO, and found myself in a field of thicket and bramble. Just swooping my net a few times on the surrounding plants as I walked landed me the above bounty.

There are no cicadas appreciably near the water. I'd have to assume that the flooding must have killed all of the closest ones. However, I did notice a cicada that 'fell' into the water by me and it was quickly gobbled up by a trout. I was able to fool a stockie at a different section into eating a green cicada pattern (which he annihilated), but most fish did not seem interested.

Would've tried Clarks tomorrow if we weren't getting poured on tomorrow. Oh well.
