Sulphurs? Hendricksons didn't hatch on most waters.

you must not get out much...hendricksons have been out for weeks and are over on some pa streams....they've even been on catskills waters for two weeks....most waters are still 3 weeks ahead of schedule

"they've even been on catskills waters for two weeks"

I can attest to the truth of this statement. I was up last week for three days and I had blanket Hendricksons on Tue and Thu and a good hatch on Wednesday along with the best Paralep emergence I've seen in decades. A fellow I chatted with told me that two weeks prior there was an awesome Hendrickson hatch on water near Hancock.

Typically they don't start up there until around April 20 and here it is April 12 and they will be winding down within the next week.

Hendricksons have been on the water for more than three weeks in central and northcentral PA. Sulphurs are definitely starting to hatch now. If we don't get rain, the hatches will accelerate even more.

You got that right. I caught fish on a great Hendrickson Hatch three weeks ago tomorrow. Was awesome and yes early. So sulphurs this early don't suprise me at all the way things are going.

Going to be a weird season and if you aren't out getting after it now you better because at this rate it'll be done by mid-may if we don't get water.

92 year low for Big Pine Creek in Lycoming County. Ouch.

Yep, get your terrestrials tied now, we'll be using them early.

Speaking of that, anyone know what counties are slated to have Cicada's this year?

I saw a few sulphurs starting to hatch last evening on the FFO area at the west branch of the Octoraro Creek. The water levels are scary low. They look like mid to late June levels. Pray for some significant rain.
