I thought Tom made a valid question and point.

The LJ will be open forever. Since the court case. Why would you pay to fish it? It will be free forever.

Not much of a discussion if you just wont answer questions LJ.

I already pay a fee to fish it, even though I never fished it. it's called a fishing license fee.

I made that point as well in post #28

I already pay a fee...$22.70+15.70=$38.40

I find it funny that some people have a problem paying an additional "tax" to do something they already pay for but no problem paying someone else.

Yea, but mines bigger.

My fee that is.

Sorry Tom. I hadn't read all the responses.

By the way, we are going to eventually have to stop agreeing so much.

Yes Dave but you paid that fee for MOST PA waters. This is a separate one. Your fee according the the lic. amount would be far less than tom stated. it would be $38.40 / 10,000 or how ever many stream segments and lakes we have open to the public

True i keep forgetting he lives in Ohio.

He quoted me as he paid the fee for the little jay. Then you brought up that math with the lic. fee.

See a lic is for MOST waters not just one. To get the amount of the LJ fee you guys are talking about it would be

price of lic / amount of fishable waters in pa

Either way its not what was being discussed

Yea sal. I was just messing around. I didn't read all the posts.

Non-res is not 52.70 + 15.70. It hurts when I do the math (all the more i fish in PA).

Just don't tell my wife. I told her it is about 50 bucks for a license, which really isn't a lie, right?

I can't say a fee to fish a creek that is in danger of losing access might not be a bad idea (to purchase access rights permanently), but I never really gave it any thought so I’m not going to pick a side.

I really never thought about it either, i like the idea for some waters but it could open a door. Other land owners for a small trickle would want the same. It is a dangerous undertaking.

you pay that much?! sheesh i never looked at the non-res. fee lately. And no................its not a lie Im sure she told you a dress or something was 40 bucks when it was 43.50

Yea, I paid that much last year, and only fished for trout, once. I didn't even make it up for steelhead.

It was still worth it. Had a good time.
