Left the house late last night to fish the late night bite and planned to head to the stream after.
Got my first musky last night and my bud got our first walleye for the bread basket. Went to the stream and caught quite a few fish. Fish were actively feed on what I would call exoskeleton nymphs Idk

1) first musky (sorry pic is blurry due to lens being fogged up)
2) walleye
3) big rainbow
4) the real nymphs
5) what we used on the stream

anyone know what those things are??

That is a fun day. Love the mixture of species. Congrats.

Interesting. The shucked nymph on the surface appears to be a stonefly. The flies used appear to be generic ISO nymph patterns although they would be a good match for stoneflies.

I'm assuming the muskie and walleye were caught at a different place than the trout.....although there are certainly places where you can catch them and rising trout in the same section of the same creek, although that would make for a rather unusual (and exciting) day.

Yuh gotta love May - so many different fish biting - so little time.
