Stockie Slam...Well, Sort Of.

Had Easter dinner with my wife's family last night, so I thought I'd try to get out today and get my fill of stockies for the year. Also, I LOVE fishing in the rain. I went to a local ATW that between the PFBC and various clubs gets all three species stocked...thought it would be cool to try for the "Stockie Slam," all from the same stream.

Landed about dozen...all were ugly Brookies, except for one ugly Bow and one well, not so ugly Brown...Darn wild Browns...messing up my "Stocker Slam!" I think I can live with it though

Here's hoping he survives the gauntlet and you meet up again.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The stockers disappear by mid-Summer and in the Fall all I catch on this stream is wild Browns…not a ton, but enough to make it worth a stop once or twice each Fall. I caught two slightly larger (9”-ish) wild Browns in the same hole that this fish came from last Fall. The hole is now also filled with a couple dozen stockers though…hopefully I educated this one a little bit.

If this is from where I think it may be, great to see browns in it still. Last year I found two dead wild browns on the banks after opening day.
