A bit of a mini PAFF gathering happened last november in Erie.

It began with catching some fish, snapping some pics, and whatnot. It ended at the bar with Bruno yelling "these guys are from the internet!".

I suggest it happen again.

Hey Joe! It'd be nice to fish with you again. You're pretty much on the way up there for me, so if you'd like some company, just give me a yell................Ed

A PAFF Steelhead Jam is gonna be a reality.

I'll be there as well.

I think we all need to ban together and get RyGuy some help.
He definately has a steelhead addiction.

I am trying to google a Steelhead Anonymous group so we can stage an intervention. HAHA.

I have 22 misc eggs/ sucker spawn tied and ready to roll.

I had a dream a week ago that they were running and I woke up all anxious and scared that I was missing out on the fishing.

Yeah I was looking at the archived posts on fisherie and was disapointed to remember that they ran pretty late last year. End of september and there wasn't a good run yet....hopefully this cool weather will make the run a bit earlier this year.

My name is Ryan, and I'm addicted to steelhead fishing!

Yeah I actually DON'T sleep when they really are running lol. It's like I'm a little kid on Christmas Eve night.

I had thought about a Jam in Erie many times. Almost all of us go at some point in the year.
The only problems would be when, the most comfortable time and weekends is when crowds are a bit out of hand.
And ofcourse weather. You have to be flexible enough to know you might just be sacricing time with plans that might not happen.
I sure caught a pile of them last year. Very impressed. So much I went out and bought a centerpin.

I'm hoping I have enough vacation to squeeze out a deer season/steelhead trip, but its tight.

With no buck, Mon.-Wed. are hunting days and Thurs.-Sat. are fishing days. Of course, if I get a buck Monday or Tuesday, the whole week becomes a fishing week.

I did this last year, even met JayL on a very cold Saturday. I can hopefully do it again.

I'm not the person to talk to ryan. I kept saying I was done for the year, but ended up at it again. Even after that freezing outing with pcray (the streams froze up), I was up at the salmon river at least 3 times. Once that started freezing in late january, I quit. Never made the drop backs. Hopefully this year I can.

I am planning on trying pinning as well, squaretail.

My brother, a friend, and I were in Pulaski last December and the temp was -7 degrees when we left the motel. That was one cold morning of fishing. My brother got the steelhead fever so bad that he bought a drift boat a few months ago. Should turn out to be a fun winter on the Salmon River.

Sounds good to me, i am already working on a few plans.

I would also like to get up to your neck of the woods sometime and if you find yourself on Clarks or Yellow Breeches give me a holler.

Not sure if I can make the Salmon this year. I would LOVE to, but not sure if I can swing it. I'd have to make a few more big commission checks and talk the wife into letting me go for a long weekend before that happens.... it's probable, just not likely... however next year is a different story. I've been drooling over going for over a year now... need a bib. I'll have to settle with a few extra day trips to Erie this year I guess lol.
