Like the old "I must have told you a billion times not to exagerate."
My buddy was at the Salmon R over Labor Day. Hooked kings, cohoes, and Atlantics - landed an Atlantic. I don't think the bluebird weather helps the fishing, but fish are moving in.

Sounds like you've just about nailed the prediction. I know the water levels shot up and seem to be on their way back down. Any evidence as to "weather" or not the recent rainfalls brought in a significant number of fish? No doubt a few made their way in and up stream, but I'd be interested in hearing how much of an impact the last bout of rain had on the numbers of fish in the streams.
Weather is trending in the right direction love these cool nights. Hopefully more rain is on the way.

I know I know.. this is a long thread... but if you want to know anything about steelhead take the time to read it. It has info on rods, reels, techniques, flies, places to go, etc. If you want to know steelhead spend the time to read through. The fall is upon us and this is a great prep for the season.
