Some firsts for Gaeron

Met my little buddy Gaeron and his Dad at the Little Lehigh this morning.

My mission was to get him his first fish of the year, first fish on his new rod that he built, and first fish in his new net - and on a fly he tied. It's a pattern he came up with that he calls the Action Caddis.

Mission accomplished - that fly works!

Just so everyone knows, all I did was pick the stream I thought Gaeron would have the best chance to get into fish.

The rest was all Gaeron.

It's refreshing to see someone so young that is willing to put in the time and effort to be successful at this game.
