That's right! You read that correctly! I was watching Jeremy Wade, world biologist and EXTREME angler...haha, always get a kick out of that.

Anyway - I forget which episode it was but he did use a fly rod to catch his target fish, which I thought was a nice nod in the fly fishers direction. Especially after reading the below post about the OutDoor channel or whatever it's called, which I also agree with by the way.

Anywho - thought I'd share that and wish everyone a great weekend!

I believe that was the one where he was chasing Taimen in Mongolia.

He has done it a few times now. Even this past week he was using a fly rod and I think he was going for a catfish actually. Crazy stuff. Ended up catching some monsters...just not the one he was going for this week

Anyone see the one where the bear actually ended up taking away the salmon he caught?

If I remember right, when he was fishing for salmon in Alaska he said it was his first time with a fly rod.

Yep, I saw the salmon episode, he looked like a newbie with a fly rod, I kept thinking why was he hooking a fish right in front of a bear, and did the bear end up swallowing the hook?

Even the GF likes that show. She likes hillbilly hand fishing.
