That is huge!

The only thing that I don't really agree with, is having the length/c&r records seperate. To me there is only ONE world record, and this fish is smaller than the world record. I am all for the c&r thing, but at least get a girth measurement and whatnot, and even weigh it to try to get an accurate weight estimate, then release it after all the proper photos are taken to send to the IGFA. I do realize it is still hard to get a good accurate weight though, especially if the two records are within ounces.

Regardless, that is an awesome fish and congrats to the guy who caught it.

Got to agree a 41 pounder versus a 29 pounder..... I believe the 41 pounder came from the Niagra River if I remember correctly. I saw a picture of is years ago. It was almost bright silver. Still a great catch!

I think the "regular" world record came from the Manistee.

Pretty sure that fish is a stockie Definitely a holdover obviously lol. Could be wild though, don't know.
