I can only take tying credit for somewhere between one third and one half. Everytime I go somewhere fishing I stop at the local shop and buy a couple while shooting the breeze with the owner. I have one box somewhere from my trip to the Battenkill and Adarondaks. It was a real blast getting to camp right along the trout stream in the Adarondaks. Just lean out the tent and cast. Beautiful country up there on thre Ausable. Years ago Orvis put out a commemorative Wheatly box with flies in it and a passage from "A River Runs Through It". My parents picked one up for me and it sits on my tying desk. I just got their "way too expensive" Christmas catalog. I can only wonder what I'm in store for this year. I'm kinda hoping for the 150th Trout Bum outfit, but ya never know.
