Bob is one of my favorite shop owners. I always enjoy stopping in there to say hello. I am sure it will be a good time.

Cabin fever show is as long as my leash will be allowed out seeing that my wife is due in almost 2 weeks. The pancake/stocking event is always a great time. I've taken my wife before and we just walk around town. Don't forget the lunker stocking is 1 week from that.
For being a stocked stream, I really enjoy the Neshannock. It's always well stocked, Bob runs a great shop, and there's a pretty decent amount of bug life in that stream. Dare I say the word. GRANNOMS! will be here soon.

Don't let that happen. I'm trying to get back now and it's sucks.

This one's a boy, and I already have it ingrained in my wife's head that he's going on annual fly fishing trips with me when he gets old enough to cast.

Had a great time at the trout stocking today. Ate some good pancakes, chit chatted with friends, and picked up much needed supplies in the shop. Had a great time, despite the creek being unfishable and the wind.
Not like I really care much as I like to fish other parts of the creek if the section behind the shop is crowded, but on average about how many buckets usually get put in directly behind the shop? I noticed only about 3 buckets going in right behind the shop, all the rest were float stocked. I just find it weird that usually there's a ton of fish in that stretch, and its very popular, yet it only got 3 or 4 buckets. I never really payed much attention to this in the past so idk if it is always like this. Not complaining, just curious.

There's still in-season stockings, TU stocking, etc. Few if any of the remaining stocking dates will be float stockings. That's usually how it goes. Besides, a lot of fish from the fall stocking are still in that stretch too. So the fish just kind of pile up there with each additional stocking. By the peak of the season there will be loads of trout in that area. Kev

Yeah I think fish are ingrained to move upstream. They hit that dam, and can't go any farther. I've been there for the pre season stocking and have seen a dozen or so buckets go in there. The lunker stocking is just behind the shop. It's good business... catch fish right there and buy stuff in the shop. Bob is a great guy and I'm glad to see this event successful every year. I hope that shop lasts forever.

Have you seen the dam lately? Yikes, if they don't fix it like they are supposedly going to, the fish will have no trouble getting past it in a few years.
