Lehigh is going to be fishable, thank you FEW!!!

Hope you guys have some good drinking and poker tournaments this weekend, but I shall be fishing.

I'll be sure to post some fishy pics! It'll take more than hell and high water to get me off the creek!

Anyone who is stumped as to where they might fish in the area this weekend can consult me at the spot-burning booth. I think the talk of the demise of all fishing is greatly exaggerated.

Remember, water runs down hill. Good to remember when looking for good water, a tent site, and while peeing in and round your tent site (or someone else's).

True story Mr M! I'm not gonna lie to ya', though, my 9am arrival in Centre County tomorrow may be pushed back a few hours, as I have some semi-local gems on the way that should be in their prime after a little rain.

All it does is make me less sure of my gameplan.

Tomorrow supposed to be drier than today (not dry, just less rain than today). I have absolutely no doubt that the little streams will be in great shape this weekend.

The problem, though, is that so may the big streams. Generally I fish the little streams at midday when the big streams suck. But, when they're up but fishable, they can fish really well during the heat of the day. That possibility may be hard to pass up....

Don't forget to pack towels and washcloths. In the cabins, I think you need all linens, including any utensils, place settings and cookware (in the ones with a kitchen).

How far of a drive to the Little J is it from the campground we're staying at this year?

An hour if you drive a Subaru.

Oooops - Ryan drives one too...

Bing maps says 47 minutes, but I've done a bit better than that.

Hey guys,

I'm going to be heading up to the campground tomorrow afternoon, hopefully around 2:00 or so. This will be my first jam, so I'm not too sure what to expect.

Will anyone be gathering around the campground around 2:00 or should I head straight out to fish? I know that fishing isn't looking too promising for tomorrow, but does anyone have any suggestions on where to start? I've only fished Spring Creek in the area, so I am not too familiar.

I will only be there Friday night, so hopefully it's a fun night and the fishing is good Friday afternoon and Saturday morning!

See you guys there.

to the town of Spruce Creek, i.e. the closest point. If you fish anywhere on the stream other than that, it will be a few minutes longer.

Hence my 45 minute-hour, 45 minutes to the closest point you may fish, could be an hour to the farthest.

The drive to the Little J may be longer, I think they're doing some construction between Mill Hall and State College. Besides, its blown out and full of chubs anyway.
