Hello all,
I just got back into flyfishing and this time, I think it's gonna stick! I've dabbled in the past, but I think I have fallen in love with the sport all over again.
I went to a fly shop today, and much to my wife's chagrin I spent $65 on some staple fly patterns and a new fly box. Much to my surprise I had the best evening on the local pond in a long time! I caught a gorgeous brown, some small panfish, and a very nice largemouth which decided to bid farewell prior to me landing him.
I bought my first flyrod over 20 years ago when I knew absolutely nothing about flyfishing. Now 20 years later I know just enough to be dangerous, so if I ask stupid questions, please bear with me!
