Could be a tiger, there is no separate catagory for tigers. I'm inclined though to say it's a brookie. Butt ugly fish.

Thats no brookie, and throwing it in with brookie records isnt right because it could just as viably be thrown in with brownies. One trout could hold both records.
The PFBC simply goofed on this.

Looks like a tiger to me. I got one in the same area on yellow creek, just about the same size last year.

Seriously guys,
That photo is indistinct, I personally can't read the tell-tell worm markings on the dorsal area as an indicator of the tiger trout. Brook or tiger it's a pig-- a well-fed, pot-bellied fish and you can bet people will be gunning for it this year.

we stocked a tiger from our hatchery that was just shy of 8 pounds and 27.5" long. A lot of people had him on an lost him. I thought he would have been a state record but seeing there is not tiger trout record i guess he wouldn't contend. I dont think anyone ever caught him and he may still be in the creek or i assume he was poached.

It looks like it was taken out of Ontario on a down rigger.

That has to be a Yellow Creek Trout Club fish to be caught in December.
