There is a newly proposed regulation for striped bass fishing in the Delaware Estuary that would open the previously closed months of April and May, the time when adult fish are most abundant and Pennsylvanians have the best chance of catching an adult striped bass from that system. The regulations (20-26 inch slot from which 2 fish per day could be harvested) would direct the fishery at male stripers. For further details, please see the PFBC web site. The public comment period is open. Please pay close attention to the fine details of the proposal.
