lets hope it stays that way! Looks like it was high/very high all day. Atleast I should have nice flow for sunday. I just need to combine active and hungry fish and it should be some fun.

Has the fever finally ended for everyone? Has anyone braved the conditions and gotten out in the past few days? If so, any color recommendations for patterns? Is ice becoming a problem?

Making the first (and probably only) trip of the season tomorrow because we got snowed in on Wednesday.

Was going to fish the OH tribs Saturday but everything was high. Might head out once or twice this winter just to get out and scratch the itch, but I'll most likely wait till spring.

I didnt get out as much as I wanted, but yes, I think my fever has subsided. I just dont want to risk my 3 month old car getting up there and back. If I have 4-5 inches of snow down here, they must have a ton.

Hasn't ended for me. I love fishing in the winter. No one around and plenty of fish. Go ahead...stay in

Alright, I gotta bring it back. With the warmer temps, is anyone going to go on saturday?

Never fished a warm winter day for steelhead, so does it A) turn them on. B) completely kill the fishing due to massive snow melt/fair weather fishermen crowding things.

Not that much crowding, unless you fish the Nut. The reality is, it's no different than any other day if the creeks are not blown. Put an offering right on their noses and they will take them. The majority of the fish are in winter holds right now. You'll find a scattered few in fast water. Feeding fish tend to be in the tailouts of deeper runs. Put it right in front of them. You can have fantastic day. It's all up to you really.

I got a fever, and the only cure is more steelhead.

This weekend or next weekend, if I don't go one of those two weekends I'm going to lose it. Anyone been out lately anywhere along the Erie tribs?

Cool. Report how you do please. I'd like to head up this weekend, but there's a greater chance of me going next weekend instead. Probably the OH tribs. I got the itch!

Poor over all; fish are scarce to non-existent in the PA waters. I fished Friday-Monday on just about every piece of water in Erie county except Conneaut and Crooked. Don't waste your time.
