That's not just a leaf, but it is a rarely photographed "leaf with legs."
 
Some type of moth.
 
Yeah, it was a moth. It was on my car hood when I got back to the vehicle from fishing this morning. At first I thought it was a crinkled up dead leaf, but then I saw the legs...
 
Isn't Mother Nature neat. It's not a moth, but a Terrestral Caddis :-D I seen a moth(terrestral caddis) the other day that was white and brown with a black mohawk.

PS.. For those who don't get the joke, caddis are sometimes referred too as underwater moths. :p
 
would be neat if caddis had more color like....
