I do not think that marabou jigs are legal in fly only projects. I mean you tie everything to a hook.
Can someone give me the rundown and reasoning on this?

Interesting question...I'd like to know the reasoning too, assuming they aren't legal in FFO.
You put a heavy enough split shot right at the knot on a Bugger or Clouser and you basically have a marabou jig.

Yeah i think it is because the weight is not tied on the hook and it is molded. Not a huge deal but i always have luck with jigs in the cold winter months dead drifting. I had had some in my pouch while at yellow creek and was informed by a person there that they are not legal. I thanked the guy for the heads up but just don't see a just cause. LOL
