I HEARBY DECLARE THE OPENING OF WET WADING SEASON IS NOW OPEN!

Started yesterday- doubt I will wear waders again the rest of the summer- sans tailwaters very near the dams.

Can't bring myself to do it ever again, except for hard bottomed tailwaters like the horn or maybe the tully... then again, I took the initial fall on a sandy-bottomed slow flowing limestoner. The crater is still open anyway.

Ha-yea.

Mo was wet wading in April.

Tim Murphy probably only wears waders for steelheading.

We're big sissys.

Here's some photo's that go along with the wet wading deal from yesterday. (not all the water was small)

Fished a Green Drake hatch in the Laurel Highlands in the afternoon. As many know, this small stream stuff is not really my bag but with the hot temps and Green Drakes I went along with it.

zenriver and AndrewA1 are the other particpants.

I wet waded the J in april (I think it was) but only because I forgot my waders. I wade wet all the time now because of the massive leak in my wader's crotch area!!!!

Paul...nice pics...can you make them so I can enlarge them? The water has a really neat slow-mo look to it!

Almost all of my summer bass fishing is wet wading and, I agree, it's time. I have learned to wear pants however due to scratchy vegetation.

Jay,
I'd keep the river water outa that wound (as if you really need to hear this).
Heck, on the other hand, maybe some wet wading in a good brown lining creek might do yuh some good - after all, they've tried everything else.

Talk about wet wading you should ask someone ( Moe would be a good one to ask) about a guy named Seth. I don't think he owns a pair of waders, but he had one @#$% of a laugh !!!

I agree completely! Sunday night I decided to have a bunch of beer and then pour myself into waders Monday. Beer + waders + fat man = stink/sweat imho

Oh yes! You beat me to the post! Sunday and Monday was wet up to my belt line. The cool water felt so, so good. I just fished locally here in Lancaster county on the Hammer. Sunday I caught everything there was to catch in a creek. Between a lightening bug fly and a huge Green Drake I caught everything. browns, bows, smallies, sunnies, crappie, chubs, I was ready for shark but didn't get one! It's amazing how small a fish will take a size 10 and bigger Green Drake fly. Tis the season, fala la la, la, la, la.
