I haven't been out yet due to being sick, had to cancel a trip with Dan the other day. I did get some good news yesterday, I got a Appointment to see a Doctor at John Hopkins Hosp in Balt. After six years and four Doc's around here, with no help, I hope someone down there can help me. Keeping my fingers crossed! PaulG

I think many people are probably waiting for rain.
Quite a few are waiting for the "approved trout waters" to open. I like to fish for wild trout in a few of the ATW, and it is pretty irritating to miss basically every hatch when I don't care at all about catching stocked fish.

I got out and caught a few stocked trout this weekend and was planning on checking out a couple of other trout streams, but it was in the upper 70s and I wasn't really in the mood to go to a few more streams. I needed some warmwater action. So I ended up going to Tamarack Lake and slammed the crappies! I also got my first gill of the year.

Today was the first day I actually got to go out and fish for real. Managed to catch 6 decent hold-over fish, and a beautiful native Brookie. Not another soul around. I loved it! I'm sure glad I'm getting back into the sport full bore. Days like today make me remember how much i miss this stuff.

Fished SR and Catfish Creek for Chrome over the weekend. Last second decision to run up with a buddy. Had a great time even though the fishing is in the transition period. On the way up an old high school friend,that I have not seen since high school, saw I was heading up through FB and offered me an my buddy a free float down the river on Sunday. Landed a couple on Saturday and Sunday was just a great float and a way to catch up. Man I love this weather and fishing in it!
