I remember the dragon fly at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philly that had a 2 ft. wingspan and was set in amber.

oh wow thats a huge dragon fly, this mayfly had a wingspan of 18 inches.

That would present an entire host of problems for tyers. Hooks, vise, hackle....jeez, what would that hackle cost!
