Not worth a trip at all. Less than one aisle of fly stuff and most of it is junk. Some of the line has been there for like 10 years! Don't waste your gas...go to Cabela's in Hamburg instead.

Go to A and G Outfitters if you are in Dickson City

Been there, it depends how long you have to drive to get there. I stop in when in the area, but don't make a trip just to go there.

Yea kinda confused if you live in Scranton or L.V.

If Lehigh Valley Evening Hatch is you tying spot.

Just moved from LV to albrightsville last weekend. I was up at geisinger Wyoming valley for my girl and had some time to kill. Evening hatch is where I usually go when up here and will be from now on. I know about A and A in blakeslee and Evening Hatch in lake harmony. I stopped at gander because it was too late for A and G and yes it was pretty bad, for fly fishing anyway.

Their tying material selection is better than Gander Mtns, but it's still not fantastic. There isn't a really anything in the Scranton area worth a trip.

Gander Mountain is not your go-to place for FF related supplies or equipment.

+1 for A&G Outfitters. Adam and Greg are very helpful and treat newbies well.

I know Evening Hatch is close to the Lehigh River, but I'm not driving 50 some miles from the Lehigh Valley to buy materials. I wish there was a good shop in LV, sigh.

It's just South of the Lake Harmony exit of the turnpike on Rt 940. Pretty nice shop, and one of the better selections of tying supplies in Eastern PA.

I too wish it were a bit closer to the LV - funny thing is that the owners live in Allentown!

Sometimes ya just gotta see what you want to buy, so I sometimes drive up there. Their hackle "wall" is pretty awesome.
They also carry flies that are popular on the Little Lehigh - Stan Cooper ties for them, as he did for the LL Fly Shop.
