Your firsts are always memorable.

First wild brown. Local Class A. First pool, toss a dry, go to take a picture of fly on water and miss a strike. 2nd pool I see a cruiser, toss a fly, get a strike, shakes head 2 times and off. 3rd pool, toss a fly and on the first drift he takes and bring him to hand. Awesome day.

First wild brookie. The first official brookie expedition by Pcray. Went to a very tight stream and had a few takes and long distance releases. Then hit a very wide open stream full of fish and caught a few. I return to that stream every year at the JAM and it's a blast to fish. Not a fantastic fish, but the first none the less.

Bonus brookie. Caught this brookie out of the same stream as above just last year. It is the strangest fish I've ever caught, so thus it's memorable.

Ry - That second Brookie is very unique looking...big head, big tail, very skinny body...probably a very old (and wise?) fish.

By the way, Post #14, 3rd fish (with the bright belly) was taken on the same outing and stream as Ryan's 1st brookie. And that is Fishidiot's net.

It was at a jam a few years ago.

It's amazing how two fish from the same stream can look so completely different. The other one looks well fed and healthy and this one looks like it hasn't had a meal in a month.

Ok, all you small stream photo loving people. I put together a collection for the beginner jam this weekend. 228 photos here, covering several years, all from mountain freestoners ranging from dinky to medium. A few are from out of state, but almost all in PA. Enjoy!

Your welcome. It's actually missing a lot that I thought were in there, bout half the trips actually. I guess the upload didn't finish. I also noticed one or two doubles. Don't think photobucket handles such large albums very well.

Very nice pictures pcray, thanks for sharing. A lot of memorable fish in there no doubt...pretty sure I saw "Three Spot" a few times.

I had planned on doing some serious stream research on a couple of new ones tonight...but I just spent the last 45 minutes looking at your slideshow instead...love that kind of fishing.

Nope, I'll be a rookie Jammer this year. Very much looking forward to it though!
