i got out today for about a hour caught 1 old fish. talked to some guys who caught 8 and they said most were pretty fresh. water is clearing up now i seen about 5 other fish moving in the clearer water most looked fresh. even see a few raise i dont think they were hitting bugs but they were active. no smolts so far i think they go in tomarrow but as long as you stay away from the big holes were they dump them in there not to bad. creek still has good flow so it might spread them out though.

Fished today. Still melt water slowing the fishing up during the midday. A few fresh fish and even more fisherman....Some of the smaller streams have NO fish!!, Believe it, along with areas on the bigger streams. If we do get a spring run expect the suckers to be traveling with them. Most if not all the LE tribs have their smolts planted with more to fallow in the next few days. I would say their will be more fishermen then fish this weekend.

That is for sure! It should be a great weekend up there though, but the crowds are going to be heavy.

I overheard a guy in the bar yesterday while skipping work and watching some march madness say that he was up on Wednesday and just caught 3 suckers. Didn't sound like there were too many fresh fish from listening in, but a few fresh ones.

Was that guy anyone on this board... at Zooky's yesterday?

there are fresh fish you just have to find them. i didnt fish elk today but i fished crooked and got 11 from 7 till about 10. about half were fresh fish. water is a little off color but if you fish pools at the end off riffles there are fish there. we seen at least 4 pairs of fish spawning so they have to be fresh fish. i will be back out tommarow hopefully today was not a fluke. elk was packed today from what i heard were i was i seen two guys all morning.

were are you coming form i90 or 79. if you come from 70 get off at mckean exit and head west that is west road when yo get to the stop sign you are there. if coming of 90 get off at rrt832 exit and head south go around the curves and the creek will be on your right. there is a parking area at the intersection of 832 and west road.

Skibo - If you click on the first link I posted, there are gps coordinates for the parking lot on Sterrittania Rd. It's the link "Directions' in bold letters.
