The last 2 days, I ffished for a few hours. There were multiple caddis, crane flies, maybe residual black stonies (didn't see them so much as I caught a few dozen on them), BWO, and even a few Hendricksons and red quills. Sometimes I tend to draw an audience when ffishing, and several bait and spin guys told me they were now inspired to take up the fly. The trouts were certainly busy slamming the buzzing and emerging flies.

Okay, Les.

I have to ask: Does this make you a Fly-Fishing Evangelist?

Ditto on the Breeches yesterday. I brought about 15 to hand while the spin guys 10 yards to the left, right and literally on the bank behind me struggled. They didnt understand what the the trout were doing when they were rising. I had to point out to them the little sailboats floating down the current. Great fun!

I have converted a few friends. I like helping them out, finding them the right gear, and offering advice. However one is still a bait chucker and only touched his fly rod once in the last 4 years. He said it is to difficult but has only tried once.

I fished for wild browns on Saturday with a spin/bait friend. He caught 3 while I caught six. Sunday he was ready to try flies. He managed to catch one on BHPT on Sunday. I also convinced him that he should release all the fish - a foreign idea to him. But he did release all 4 that caught this weekend.
