Blown out for 2-3 days max. Those were some nasty storms.

I fished the beaverkill and the east branch yesterday, wading, and was fine. The fish were being babies, but I got a few, including a nice 17-18" brown. Also a real nice bow, who zipped around the riffle I got him in like lightning in a bottle.

Seriously though, nothing close to blown out. Waters were barely off color.

You think that's bad- I was planning to fish Boulder Creek, CO in a few days...

I fished a Central PA brookie stream right after a cloudburst on Friday. The water stayed clear. But it was very, very tight quarters. I was unprepared- did not have the right leader at all. Only got one fish. Still magical, though- while gazing at an apparently fishless little pool that was less than knee-deep, a nice fish rose about eight feet in front of me. From invisible to invisible. I could not figure out where it came from, or where it went. And then another one rose about six feet to the side of me.

I stared and stared. Nothing but low, clear water flowing over some pebbles and rocks.

"From invisible to invisible."

That's beautiful an right on the money.
