Camping in Erie

Good morning everybody! I am going to be making a trip to Erie soon and would like to camp out for a night or two. I have googled the camp grounds but not sure which is the best or might be nearest to mouths of the streams. I have fished at Follys before but that might be too far upstream at this time. Kinda looking to be close the lake. Anyone with property- be happy to camp there too and match the camp ground rates. Thanks in advance for your assitance.

ps just me and a tent, I will be out during daylight hours, and during weekdays only

I can tell you one to avoid; Hills Family Campground. Trucks gear down on a long hill on nearby Rt 90 and pound up the hill all night long. The campground also has no shade and gets hot on sunny days.
