Breeches Mud

Thought I'd finally register and join in, seeing as how I've been lurking for quite a while. I've learned so much from this site, and hopefully I can add a little to it. Anyways, I was crossing the Breeches up around Huntsdale last week and noticed that it looked like chocolate milk. We hadn't had any rain recently, so I was wondering if anyone knew what was up. I actually checked it out again a few days later, and it was muddy again. Not sure if its cows in the stream up farther, or someone digging around where they shouldn't be...any ideas?

Welcome. You've got me stumped on the YB. It looked fine the last time I looked at it on Tues this week although that was further down near Mount Holly. There have been some localized storms around here lately (very heavy yesterday) and maybe it caught some run-off. There may also have been cleaning going on at the hatchery(?). Maybe someone else can chime in.
