Hello all,

Long time reader-now-new-member saying hi. I grew up on the southern end of the Cumberland valley, and just moved to Pittsburgh for my wife and work. Graduated from Penn State 4 years ago, and have been spoiled by limestone country for many years even before I started on flies (~10 yrs).

Which brings me to my selfish ambitions...if anyone can help me out with some good streams out this way I would be extremely grateful. I'm under the impression there are some streams holding wild browns or good holdovers somewhere out here but may be kept quiet. I also enjoy native brookies. I'm on my own out here with regards to the outdoors so if anyone could use an extra fishin buddy let me know.

Thanks!

Brian

Welcome to the board Brian. It is a scientific fact that there are no holdover/wild fish west of Somerset Co.

Welcome, I'll let the western guys tell you about streams out there. But if the answers aren't what you are looking for, PM me.

It's time to stop stocking all wild trout streams no matter what Classification they are, and time to eradicate brown trout in some of our limestone streams and re-establish brookies in them.
